All Golden EDI customers can request a login to the customer view in the Cloud Integration Platform (CIP). In the CIP customer view our customers can see their outgoing and incoming messages with a log for each message. It is also possible to see both the original and translated data received to, and sent from the CIP.
Log in to the CIP via portal.goldenedi.com and the login information received from Golden EDI.
When you login you will access the dashboard.
On the left hand side of the dashboard you see information about your Business Central partner, your organization name, time zone and your name.
Further down on the left hand side you find shortcuts to access the different pages in the CIP.
'Dashboard' will take you back to the dashboard.
'Incoming queue' will take you to the view of all incoming Work Items. Please note, if you have access to multiple organizations you must first select what organization you like to review.
'Outgoing queue' will take you to the view of all outgoing WorkItems. Please note, if you have access to multiple organizations you must first select what organization you like to review.
'Search' will open up a page where you can do a search among parties available in specific VAN networks.
'Monitoring' will give you a view over the status for the communication between the CIP and Business Central.
'Organization' is only visible when you have access to more than one organization. This is where you choose what organization you like to view.
The rest, and main part, of the dashboard gives you information about eventual queue problems. The queue is divided into Outgoing WorkItems and Incoming WorkItems.
And further down below the queue problems the dashbaord also include some WorkItem statistics.
The 'Incoming Queue' view and the 'Outgoing Queue' view are equally structured. Each WorkItem is presented in a number of columns.
'WorkItemId' is the unique Id of ths specific transaction. This 'WorkItemID' is the connection to the specific 'GEDI Message' in Business Central.
'Status' shows the status of the transaction. 'Pending' for transactions not yet complete. 'Completed' for succesful transactions or 'Error' for transactions that have resulted in some kind of failure.
'Number' is the document number. For outgoing Invoices this is the invoice number, for incoming order this is the sending party ordernumber etc.
'Connection ID' is the Connection ID that is used for this specific WorkItem. One organization can have multiple connections.
'Created time' is the date and time when the WorkItem was created in the CIP.
'Completed time' is the date and time when the WorkItem was succesfully completed.
'Meta Data' gives information of the type of transaction. Invoice, Order, Order Confirmation etc.
'Retry Count' counted up for each time the CIP are trying to complete the transaction. This will top at 20 before a WorkItem is failed.
'Info' holds additional information as for example a pdf icon if a pdf is enclosed in the message or a wrench if the WorkItem is sent in testing purpose.
The search field up in the right hand corner is a powerful possibility to search for specific WorkItems by any of the columnvalues.
Each WorkItem can be reviewed in detail.
Click on 'Details' in the right end of the WorkItem line in the Incoming/Outgoing Queue
In the Details view you see the same information as in the Queue view. And as addition to that you also see the 'Filename' wich is the name of the file received or sent out. Also you have the 'ERP ID' wich is the related entry number in the 'GEDI Message Queue' in Business Central.
On the left hand side of the Details view you have a number of Actions available.
'View Log' will present you with a detailed log of the transaction.
'View EDI data' will show the actual EDI data received or sent out.
'Download EDI' will download the EDI data as an XML file to your computer.
'Download PDF' will download the eventually enclosed pdf to your computer.
To search for parties in specific VAN network directories press 'Search' in the CIP dashboard.

The result will show wether the party exists and if they accept EDI transactions.
Under your Organizations name in the CIP you can 'Click for details'
Here you will se the Organization details that Golden EDI has about your company. If you have the Organization Admin role you will be able to update the organization data.
It is important that the contact information, especially the E-mail for EDI issues, are correct since that address will be used to send out important notifications from the CIP team.
